A residential home inspection is an objective visual examination of the structure and major functional components of a home. A standard home inspection report will cover the condition of the home’s roof, structural components, attic, ventilation, insulation, siding & other exterior components, porch & deck, garage, driveway, foundation, fireplace, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems, sprinklers, interior, heating system, central air conditioning system, interior plumbing and electrical system

Building phase inspections consist of three inspections that occur at pre-determined times in the construction process. These are: foundation inspection, framing inspection (a.k.a. pre-drywall inspection), and final inspection.  

To get the most accurate results, have your home tested for radon by a professional. A qualified inspector knows exactly where to place the radon device to get the best results, and can inspect the rest of your home for problem spots where radon can seep in.

A sewer scope inspection uses a video attached to a snake-like cable to examine the home’s sewer line. This privately-owned pipeline leads from the house to the publicly owned main sewer line or septic tank. Sewer scope inspection can reveal damage to the pipes, blockages, and other problems. 

Mold is a common problem in Salem and can be the cause of numerous respiratory ailments, as well as cause extensive property damage. If you have recently experienced any form of water damage or suspect mold, professional mold inspection is a must.  

The goal of a commercial building inspection is to evaluate the property for defects, safety concerns, hazards and potential large capital expenditures such as needing to replace the roof or the roof-top HVAC units. Here at Synergy Home Inspections, I provide the client with the information they need to enter negotiations with as much knowledge and power in their possession as possible. Gathering this info is the process of due diligence.

I am certified in Wood Destroying Organisms. Wood Destroying Inspection helps identify visible evidence of active or previous infestation of wood destroying insects. 

Thermal imaging inspections are used to detect hidden problems early to make repairs. As an additional to a home inspection, a certified inspector I will use a thermal camera called a FLIR (Forward-Looking Infrared) to perform the thermal imaging home inspection.
